Mitch Albom is a best-selling author, journalist, radio host, and philanthropist. He is well known for a variety of books which include Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet In Heaven. Living in Michigan, Mitch has come to know many injured people who have been taken care of by Michigan's no-fault automobile insurance, and gives his full support in the adoption of this model by other states.

"I didn't really know a whole lot about it until I got involved with them. We have the finest model in the country, it's been referred to as that by many different people and for 40 years it's worked well. Basically, it takes care of people if they have catastrophic injuries in auto accidents for the rest of their lives. I have met now, many people who have had these types of accidents in their twenties. If we didn't have that kind of law.. after five years or so their benefits would stop. Well, they don't stop living. They would be 25 then, what happens for the next 60 years of their lives? This is a very, very good model that has worked for 40 years" - Mitch Albom
