Michael Harris has been the Executive Director of the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America (MPVA) since 1996. The MPVA focuses on making a difference in the lives of veterans, their families, and the public by providing leadership on behalf of veterans with spinal cord injuries or disorders and people with disabilities.

Michael Harris is the Executive Director, Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America (MPVA) – Micheal Harris has been the Executive Director of the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America since 1996. The MPVA focuses on making a difference in the lives of veterans, their families, and the public by providing leadership on behalf of veterans with spinal cord injuries or disorders and people with disabilities. The organization devotes its life and effort to enhance the quality of life for these veterans and other persons with disabilities by administering programs in research, wheelchair sports, legislation and advocating for improved civil rights for persons with a disability, regardless of race, creed, or color. 

Mike has a great knowledge of the needs of veterans with disabilities and can personally attest to the value of Michigan's no-fault automobile insurance as he was injured in a car accident in Michigan in 1986.
